Buttons & Logos

It's always nice to give people credit for their work. If you're building an app that uses data provided by SoundCloud and our community it's best to give attribution. It's a way of saying thanks and encourages people to keep creating awesome things.

Brand Guidelines

SoundCloud logos and colors must follow the current brand standards. Full guidelines and high-resolution assets are available in the SoundCloud Media Kit.

  • The 7-bar Cloudmark is the official SoundCloud symbol.
  • Do not use the previous 13-bar horizontal logo or the legacy orange logo.
  • The logo is available in two colors: Black and White.
  • Black logo — primary colorway; use on an orange background (#FF5500).
  • White logo — use on a black background (#121212).
  • Minimum horizontal logo size: 30px wide.

Black #121212

Use a light logo on a dark background, or a dark logo on a light/orange background. Do not alter, recolor, or distort the logo.

How to Properly Attribute in Your App

Apps that use SoundCloud data or API functionality must give attribution to SoundCloud and to content creators. See also the Attribution and Branding section of the API Terms of Use.

Easiest Way to Attribute SoundCloud Sounds and Creators

The recommended approach is to use SoundCloud widgets, which handle attribution automatically. See HTML5 Widget for embed and customization options.

Attributing in Custom Players

If the widget does not fit your product, attribute in a similar fashion:

When using someone's work, credit the creator and link back to where the creator and original work can be found.

In cases where exact widget-style attribution is not possible:

  1. Credit the uploader as the creator of the sound
  2. Credit SoundCloud as the source by including one of the logos below
  3. Link to the SoundCloud URL containing the work
    • if the sound is private, link to the profile of the creator

Assets for Attributing SoundCloud Users and Data

Place these logos where SoundCloud data is displayed. The logo must link back to the data source (e.g. SoundCloud profile, track, or playlist page).

Right-click (or long-press) a logo to save it. Assets have transparent backgrounds — place them on the correct brand background color.

If a substantial portion of your app or site's functionality depends on the SoundCloud API, include one of these logos on screens where the API is used. The logo should link to soundcloud.com.

Connect with SoundCloud Button

Apps integrated with SoundCloud can use a Connect with SoundCloud button for registration and sign-in. This indicates that users can register with their SoundCloud account and grants your app access to act on their behalf.
